Adult Volunteer Opportunities

This form is for those who are 18 years or older. 

Volunteer Opportunities

Guides: Help guide a group of children throughout their rotations and assist rotation/activity leaders. No teaching required. Time requirement would be 5:30 pm - 8:15 pm.
Pre-K Helpers: Help the littlest of the kiddos learn about the love of God! You will assist with activities and teaching, but do not need to lead the activity. Kids should be potty trained. Time requirement would be 5:30 pm - 7:15 pm.
Meal Volunteers: Assist with preparing food, set up, clean up, and distribution of meal and water. This position requires more time standing. Time requirement would be approximately 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Snack Volunteers: Assist with set up, clean up, and distribution of snacks and water. This position requires more time standing. Time requirement would be 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Craft Helpers: Assist with set up, clean up, and assembly of crafts. Help kids experience God through art. Time requirement would be 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Bible Study Leaders: Lead a group of kids through learning about the bible story of the day. There is a detailed lesson plan already created and ready! Time requirement would be 5:45 pm - 6:25 pm. Additional training and resources available!
Rec Leader / Helpers: Assist with set up, clean up, and lead various activities and games. This position requires more physical exertion. Time requirement would be 5:00pm - 7:45 pm with a break for supper.
Check-in: Help children get checked in and help guide them to their locations. We ask that you arrive at 4:45 pm and stay until 5:35 pm.
Check-out: Help children get checked out and back with their parents. We ask that you arrive at 6:45 pm and should be done by 8:30 pm.
T-Shirt Distributors: help with getting the shirts to the children before and after VBS session on Monday, July 21st. Time requirement would be 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm.
Song Leaders: Lead kids in music through choreographed dances and high energy. Time requirement 5:00 pm - 8:15 pm. This position requires a lot of physical exertion and attendance at additional practices. 
Decorate / set-up: days and times will vary
Tear-down Team: tentatively Sunday, July 27th

Please note: In our effort to strengthen the dedication to the safety of all children attending Vacation Bible School, adults volunteers during VBS will be required to complete an online training and background check with First Lutheran at no cost to you.
Dates of optional in-person trainings will available closer to VBS.
